In the vibrant city of St. Augustine, known for its rich history and picturesque landscapes, our production team embarked on an exciting scouting mission to find the perfect pickleball courts for our upcoming project, “Generation Pickleball.” With cameras in hand and a keen eye for detail, we set out to explore the various pickleball courts scattered throughout the area, hoping to capture the essence of this beloved sport against the backdrop of our charming city.

As luck would have it, the weather decided to grace us with some much-needed sunshine, casting a warm glow over the courts and allowing us to capture some truly breathtaking shots. From the moment we arrived at Ron Parker Park, we knew we had stumbled upon something special. With its spacious layout and inviting atmosphere, Ron Parker quickly became our top choice for filming our action-packed pickleball scenes.

Another highlight of our scouting adventure was discovering The Pickleball Garden at The Yards, a hidden gem boasting brightly colored courts and a vibrant energy that simply couldn’t be ignored. As we wandered among the 12 courts, we couldn’t help but envision the excitement and intensity of a tournament unfolding before our eyes.

However, not every court we visited met our expectations. Treaty Park, while picturesque in its own right, failed to capture our attention, and the courts at Royal St. Augustine presented an unexpected challenge with their numerical key code entry system. Nevertheless, we remained undeterred in our quest to find the perfect filming locations.

Despite encountering a few setbacks along the way, our scouting expedition proved to be a valuable and rewarding experience. Armed with a plethora of stunning photos and invaluable insights, we returned to our studio eager to bring the world of pickleball to life on the silver screen. With Old Coast Pickleball waiting in the wings as a potential indoor shooting location and Ruskin capturing our scouting journey with his trusty Nikon Lumix FZ300, we’re more excited than ever to dive into production with the perfect pickleball courts and share the joy of pickleball with audiences everywhere. Stay tuned for more updates as our journey unfolds!
